Terms of sale

1. Seller

Langueo (langueo.com) is a service provided by:

2. What Premium includes

All of Langueo's lessons, practice, exercises and flashcards are free. Langueo Premium is an optional subscription that lets you create up to 30 vocabulary lists with AI a day in all courses, instead of the 3 a week on the free plan. Time is counted in mainland Spanish time: the Premium counter resets every day at midnight, and the free plan's every Monday at midnight.

Lists are generated automatically by artificial intelligence (OpenAI). They may contain the odd mistake, which is why you can check them before saving them to your flashcards. If a list fails because of a technical problem on our side, it doesn't count towards your limit.

To subscribe you need to sign in with a Google account and be an adult, or have your parents' or guardians' permission.

3. Price and payment

Payments are processed by Stripe, an authorised payment institution. Langueo never sees or stores your card details. You'll receive an invoice for each payment, which you can also download from My account.

4. Renewal

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period and is charged to the same payment method until you cancel it. If we ever change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days in advance; the new price will only apply from your next renewal and you can cancel before then if you don't agree.

If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it over the following days. You keep Premium in the meantime; if the payment finally can't be taken, the subscription is cancelled and you go back to the free plan.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time, without giving a reason, from My account → Manage subscription, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal: you keep Premium until the end of the period you've already paid for and nothing more is charged. Except under the right of withdrawal (section 6), the unused part of the current period is not refunded.

You can also switch plans (for example, from monthly to 6 months) in the same place. Stripe works out the price difference automatically.

6. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days of subscribing to Premium, without giving any reason. Even though you can use Premium straight away, at Langueo we refund the full amount if you withdraw within that period.

To do so, email alexandrovichkarapetian@gmail.com from your account's email address saying that you want to withdraw. You can use this model, although it's not required:

To Vladimir Karapetian Gorenkov (Langueo), alexandrovichkarapetian@gmail.com:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my Langueo Premium subscription contract, entered into on [date], with the account [email].
Name: [your name] · Date: [today's date]

We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving your request, using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you. The subscription will be cancelled at that point.

7. Fair use

Premium is for personal use. Sharing your account, automating requests or trying to get round the limits is not allowed. If we detect abuse, we may suspend Premium after warning you, refunding the unused part of the period.

8. Service availability

We do our best to keep Langueo running at all times, but the AI generator depends on external services and may occasionally be unavailable. If an outage for which we are responsible stops you from using Premium for a prolonged period, write to us and we'll compensate you proportionally.

9. Your data

How we process your data when you subscribe is explained in the privacy policy. You can download your data or delete your account from My account; if you delete your account while a subscription is active, it will be cancelled at that point.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll publish the new version on this page with its date. We'll email you about important changes before they apply to your subscription.

11. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by Spanish law, in particular Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users) and Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. If you have any problem, please write to us first and we'll sort it out as soon as possible. You can also contact the consumer authorities or the courts where you live.
